Exposure of Impacted Teeth

Tooth development and eruption are complex processes. Occasionally, teeth fail to erupt. Most of these impacted teeth are perfectly healthy and ideally formed. They simply need help to erupt. Many people are familiar with wisdom teeth that are impacted, but it is also common for canines and incisors to remain within the jaws. Our doctors utilize three-dimensional imaging to locate the impacted teeth before exposing them. This information allows our surgeons to less invasively gain access to the teeth. Dr. Silverstein and Dr. Parker work with your orthodontist or family dentist to expose the teeth atraumatically then guide the tooth into ideal position.
